Jump Shear

The Shop in Bray Lab has a jump shear for metalforming.

Setup

• Adjust stop to length of cut
• Place piece along straight edge (against stop)
• Workpiece must sit flat on table

Safe operation

• Place hands on piece away from blade guard
• Step firmly on foot bar (support yourself for balance)
• Beware that the foot bar rebounds upward when stepping off

Cleanup

Clean table, floor, and surrounding work area
